Author Marc Tyler Nobleman will be giving a presentation for 5th and 6th graders at Robertsville Middle School on Thursday, November 8, 2018. He will also conduct a writing workshop for the creative writing class.

Growing up, Nobleman thought that he would become a superhero due to his last name. He did not think that he would become a writer who becomes famous for writing about the creators of superheroes. Nobleman was born in a small town in Connecticut on March 14, 1977.

Writing only became his full time job when he lost his marketing job. His at-the-time girlfriend, now wife, asked, “Why don’t you do what you love to do? Why don’t you try to be a writer?” He then wrote his first book 5-Minute Daily Practice Writing in 2003.

Nobleman has written 75 books ranging from historical fiction books to graphic novels to biographies about the creators of superheroes. However, his most popular books are Boys of Steel and Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman.

Boys of Steel is about Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, the creators of Superman. While he was researching the creators of Superman, he found so much information about the secret creator of Batman, Bill Finger, that for his next book, he wrote a book about Bill Finger in a book called Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman. This book got Nobleman on a TED talent search which is a four-minute version of a TED Talk and a Hulu film called Batman and Bill which came out last May.
