“If it raises money for a good cause, I will do it”, said Mr. Lay, principal of Robertsville Middle School. Mr.Lay, Mr. Adams, and sports teams here at Robertsville all did the ice bucket challenge. The ice bucket challenge is a way to raise money for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Mr.Lay was challenged by RMS fifth grader Sam Livesay and also Mr. Phil Cox, principal of Oak Ridge Schools.

“I thought it would be fun to see my principal get dunked,” said Livesay.

Mr. Adams, assistant principal, did the challenge as well. He did it in honor of his best friend’s mom dying of ALS. He was challenged by a former student from South Poyle High School and his best friend, Ron Black.

“It was really funny watching Mr. Adams freak out about his shoes,” says Ally Spraker, eighth grader at Robertsville.
